Yorkshire Film Archive and Hull-based heritage, education and performing arts group, The History Troupe, are delighted to announce the launch of Memory Bank: Hull – a new reminiscence resource based on Hull’s film heritage collections, revealed once more for everyone to see and enjoy.

A New Life in Huddersfield

A new documentary ‘A New Life in Huddersfield – Memories of Partition and Migration’ reveals untold stories from Partition survivors on how they escaped the violence, fled their homelands and eventually settled into new lives in Huddersfield.  On Tuesday 22nd May, the documentary premiered to over 80 special guests at the Heritage Quay in Huddersfield.

Made by club member Frank Charman, this film shows members of the Yorkshire District Association at their various camping weekends in 1937 and 1938.  The film captures the lively and fun atmosphere of the trips as well as the scenic landscapes surrounding the campsites.

Hull on Film DVD - on sale now!
