Yorkshire Shorts: Winter

‘Winter’ is one of a series of four short films from the YFA which have been touring independent cinemas across Yorkshire.  Yorkshire Shorts was one of a number of projects supported by Screen Yorkshire, the UK Film Council Digital Film Archive Fund, and the Regional Investment Fund for England (RIFE).  YFA worked with filmmaker Ed Torsney on this project.

The winter sun rises over a crisp, cold, Yorkshire landscape; children slip and slide on frozen lakes, woolly scarves, ruddy cheeks, and flailing limbs; dark figures start against deep, driving snow shuffle to work. Our character journeys through the coldest season witnessing the enduring warmth at the heart of the Yorkshire winter.
