Stadium Legends: Caught on Film

During the summer of 2010, YFA and filmmaker Ed Torsney were delighted to work in partnership with Screen Yorkshire on the “Caught on Film” appeal, the first in a series of sporting projects under the Stadium Legends banner. To capture the spirit of the game for future generations, we asked people to dig deep and find – or film – their own cricket movies. The fantastic footage that you can see in the resulting film was then shown on the big screen at Headingley during the Pakistan v Australia Test Match. Although the project is now over, we’re still very interested in cricketing or other sporting films. If you have anything that you think might be of interest, please do let us know – we have archivists who can advise on care of the films, as well as transferring them onto new formats.
