The film also documents a holiday in Bridlington, East Yorkshire, with a focus on the architecture and monuments of this seaside resort, and visits to Rudston, Sledmere, Ampleforth, and Sutton Bank.

Brenton Porteous that captures winter scenes in Newcastle and surrounding countryside; biplanes and monoplanes at Woolsington airfield; Beadnell bay and harbour; High Force waterfall on the River Tees, and the building of an air raid shelter at Osborne Road, Jesmond, Newcastle, the home of Dr Porteous, and now the site of Whites Hotel. Also included are shots at the wedding of Dr H. B. Porteous (the filmmaker) and Dr Winifred Ormerod in 1926, with good examples of 1920s bridal wear.

An amateur film of the visit to Stockton-on-Tees by Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip the Duke of Edinburgh on Monday 4th June 1956 made by Leslie Brown, owner of a record and toy shop on the High Street. The film records the arrival of the royal couple, a civic reception taking place outside the town hall watched by patriotic crowds, and a drive through the streets. At Stockton Racecourse the 1st Battalion of the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment march on to the course and are inspected by the Queen. The final part shows the Royal Yacht Britannia anchored at Tees Dock before sailing out to sea.
An amateur film of an award presentation to the sergeant of the 5th Battalion North Riding Home Guard, which takes place at Marton, near Middlesbrough, in winter. The film was shot by Lionel 'Dick' Saltmer, owner of a ladies outfitters on Corporation Road in Middlesbrough and member of this Home Guard unit.
