This film documents the visit of Princess Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh to Leeds in the summer of 1949. Huge crowds came out to greet the Royal Couple during their visit to Roundhay Park and the Civic Hall.
This film was produced by members of Leeds Camera Club as a document of the Coronation Celebrations held in Leeds in 1953. The city was covered in colourful and ornate decorations for the celebration, and included in the film is extensive footage of Leeds city centre during this celebration time.
This film tells the story of an ex con who is trying to get back into jail. However, he becomes a reformed man only to, ironically, end up back in prison for a crime he didn't commit.
This is the second part of a two part film showing the West Yorkshire village of Sharlston celebrating the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 1977. The part of the film shows the village carnival, a fair with competitions and dancing, and a Jubilee cricket match.
