An amateur film of the 1968 Durham County Show taking place at Lampton Park in Chester-le-Street on the 8 June 1968, made by Betty Cook. The film captures many of the day's attractions including a display of falconry, a police dog obstacle course and a bear cub being fed milk from a bottle. The film features British show jumping champion Harvey Smith performing at the showground. There  are also views of a whippet race and a drive past of historic horse-drawn carriages and wagons.

A detailed sponsored documentary by Turners Film Productions for Vaux Breweries on pigeon fancying and pigeon racing in the North East of England covering Northumberland, Tees Valley, Tyne and Wear, County Durham and North Yorkshire. Experts and participants explain breeding, selection, training, exhibition, racing and diet as the voice-over commentary gives an overview of the sport or hobby, and its importance to the largely male membership of the 'Up North Combine'. Footage of races include the Vaux-Usher International Gold Tankard Pigeon Race cross-channel from Beauvais in France, and scenes at the North of England Homing Union Show, held in Newcastle, are featured.

Amateur film that records the northern region Boys Brigade Life Boys holiday at a camp at Hawthorn Towers, County Durham, in the early 1930s. Activities that are shown include morning kit inspection, washing, prayers, eating, and sports. Hawthorn Towers was demolished in 1969.

Home movie footage produced by Dr H. Brenton Porteous recording the Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC) 2nd (1st Northern) section training at the No. 8 Casualty Clearing Station, Chester-le-Street, (possibly the Hermitage) before the outbreak of war. Recruits are also shown drilling in uniform following the start of World War II and taking part in a sewing competition at a garden fete. The film-maker was a lieutenant in the RAMC.

An amateur film made by Edward Robert, a Durham County Inspector of Schools and pitman's son, recording the river Tees from its rural source through to industrial areas on the banks of the river around Middlesbrough, and the estuary as it flows into the North Sea.

Includes footage of celebrations in Brandon, either as part of the touring 1951 Festival of Britain, or the Brandon Gala; a portrait of the Browney Juniors A.F.C. and their awards; a wedding and reception at the Redhills Hotel, Durham; the visit of H.R.H. Princess Margaret to Durham; the Reading of the Proclamation at Durham; the unveiling of a plaque to commemorate the restoration of the Durham monument to the Third Marquis of Londonderry in Durham featuring Bernard Montgomery, 1st Vicount Montgomery of Alamein; a trip to York during the week of the Mystery Plays; Durham College's rag week parade and a family trip to Blackpool Illuminations.

The final of a three part Tyne Tees Television documentary presented by Mike Neville, in which he journeys down the Tees. The journey takes in the source of the river and follows the it's progress through wild countryside, small villages and towns, showing how the river Tees has contributed to peoples lives and industry. The film finally reaches the mouth of the river on the east coast where towns such as Yarm, Stockton and Middlesbrough have over the years been historic ports and the site of major heavy industries on both the north and south sides of the Tees. This edition was originally transmitted on the 11 October 1962.

This film made by students of Bede College looking at the North East alternative newspaper “Muther Grumble”. The film show views of young people walking around Durham City and shots of various pages from the newspaper. The film also includes shots of young people seated in a room, possibly the office of 'Muther Grumble', smoking and talking.

An amateur film produced by George Cummin in which his character 'SAM' (based on the acronym for St. Andrews Motors) looks back at various motorcycle and car rallies that took place around the region in 1955: a veteran and vintage car rally from Whitley Bay to Newcastle upon Tyne, Weardale’s Arthur Emerson Memorial Trial motorbike scramble event, the first ever Catterick Garrison Hill Climb, North Yorkshire, featuring racer Angela Brown in an Aston Martin and the Belmont Senior Grand National Scramble at Belmont Park, Durham.

This 1977 compilation was made to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Newcastle & District Amateur Cinematographers Association (ACA). It consists of extracts from the cine club’s films, documentary footage of film shoots and studio work, and presentations at the club, from the club’s first decade through to the 1960s.
