Description

This film documents walks taken by the Rothwell Ramblers in 1979. The film starts near Leeds, at a footpath marked Pool Bank, and goes to Sutton Bank, North Yorkshire. The film includes good footage of the group members as well as of the scenic surrounding countryside.

It is a very windy but sunny day as the walkers make their way across beautiful countryside. There are shots of large electricity pylons along the way. The walkers are all dressed in appropriate rambling garments. The next shots are of the scenic views from the top of Pool Bank.

On a different day out, the walkers make their way to the top of Sutton Bank, North Yorkshire. The walkers are dressed in warmer clothing on this slightly overcast day. There are short shots of gliders. The Ramblers pass by the chalk white horse at the top of Sutton Bank on their way to the village of Kilburn. There are general views of Kilburn village and church. The Ramblers walk over a ploughed field in single file. Film ends with good shots of the countryside views from the top of Sutton Bank where the Ramblers stop for their lunch.
