Film ID: YFA 2403 WEDDING AND WHIT SUNDAY SERVICE 1971 Visitor TabsDescription This film was made by an amateur filmmaker who was a farmer from Reighton, near Filey, North Yorkshire. The film features a family wedding at the church in Reighton and Whit Sunday where many of the local people have come out for this religious service. He was a keen filmmaker and would often take films local events, recording special events in village life. The opening panning shot is taken after the ceremony and show the bride, groom and guests that have gathered for the happy day. This short sequence ends with clear static shots showing the various groups gather to pose for the photographs. The film then cuts to another church in a larger town centre, possibly for a Whit Sunday service. People are gathered outside after a service. There are then scenes of a motorway taken from the point of view of the passenger's seat. The film ends with underexposes shots outside the family home.
