Tyne Tees Television reporter Charlotte Allen interviews local author Scott Dobson in the Cloth Market cafe in Newcastle upon Tyne, which is closing down as redevelopment is planned in the area. The report was broadcast on 24 April 1975.

The two chat over a Geordie pot pie lunch, discussing Geordie food and the changes taking place in the are,  Dobson has been coming to the restaurant for 20 years. The owner of the restaurant comes over to see if they are enjoying their food. She has run the place for the past 60 years. She says the restaurant was originally ‘men only’ with women allowed in only if they were escorted. She talks about how actor Kenneth More once asked the cook to marry him because he was so impressed with the food.
