Description

This is a film of the Scout Group of St Thomas Groves, Lord Mayor’s Own, York, out on an event in York with other Scout, Cub and Girl Guide groups.

The film begins with a Scout procession along Duncombe Place in York, and there is scaffolding on the Minster in the background.  Several Scout and Cub groups parade past, followed by their leaders and then Girl Guide groups.

The next section features a police dog demonstration.  A Cub Scout poses for the camera, and people have gathered around a totem pole erected in a park.  Then a group of boys in cowboy outfits, together with some Cubs, are playing games and running across the park. (Possibly Rowntree Park.)
