The film was made by Betty and Cyril Ramsden. The couple were semi-professional filmmakers filming both for pleasure and taking on commissions from companies such as the Yorkshire Evening Post. Title-Local News Reel Title-Speedway Odsal Stadium Motorbike racers prepare their bikes, and people are gathered to watch the race around the track. Much of the race has been filmed showing the motorcycle speedway taking place. Title-Coxwold Horse and Pony Gymkhana Some horses are taken out of their boxes, and their hooves are checked over. This if followed by footage of the event including the horse riders who take part. There are some slow motion shots of horses going over jumps and men taking notes. Title-Spotlight on Sport Children take part in sports events. There are boys who have blindfolds on taking part in wheelbarrow races, skipping and jumping. The next shots are from Hampsthwaite, and they show a plaque on a church which says that it is the last resting place of Amy Woodford- a former village resident. The Charlie Chaplin film 'Manhunt' appears in between two of the film pieces. Title-The Room at the Top A man enters the front door of the Ramsden's house and climbs up the stairs.
