Description

Part of the Freeman Collection, this film includes footage taken during a school outing to the seaside and lessons at the local school.

The film opens with children, dressed in school uniform, walking on the playground. A buss goes past the sea, and the children are seated on the sidewalk where they watch a military parade go by. A marching band and tanks are included in the parade. The children then play in an outdoor swimming pool before returning to school.

Once at school, the children play out on the playground and eat school dinners in the canteen. They then make their way back into the classroom where students can be seen reading, seated at their desks. The next lesson is physical education, and the boys play with a ball in the gym before taking turns at gymnastics.
