Film ID: YFA 5299 SALUTE THE SOLDIER WEEK, BEVERLEY (2) 1944 Visitor TabsDescription This is the second part of a film that shows some of the activities of the Salute the Soldier Week in Beverley during July 1st to the 8th. This part shows an army gymnastics display and a demonstration of anti-aircraft guns. There is a parade of army buglers in a field, watched by a crowd, followed by an army gymnastics display. Then the watching crowd get up onto their feet, adults and children, and waltz around the field. This is followed by a demonstration being put on by an anti-aircraft unit in the Market Square, with planes flying overhead. When they have finished, some children climb onto the anti-aircraft guns. Then follows some speeches being given by children and soldiers, and finally by the mayor. A cheque is shown for £200. The End.
