Film ID: YFA 586 RAY ILLINGWORTH - TORQUAY 1966 Visitor TabsDescription This is from the Ray Illingworth Collection of family holiday films. This shows the family on holiday in Torquay and at home. The film opens showing a view over some cliffs at Torquay. Ray Illingworth's two daughters play in the sand on a beach with their mother, sat on a deckchair. Holding hands the two daughters take a close up view of the camera. They then take a swim in the hotel pool, while others sit around the outside in the sun. The family go down to a beach, with the eldest daughter climbing the rocks, before again being back at the swimming pool. They visit another beach where there is a lighthouse. Again one of the daughters goes swimming with an inflatable tube, and they then go up onto a cliff top to view the coast. Back home the two daughters play in the new white Triumph 2000 Mk1 parked in the drive. They then stand against the wall with their two friends posing for the camera. Ray Illingworth films his parents catching a train from Pudsey Station. Back home he films one of his neighbour's boys, and the film comes to an end.
