She is on her way to Gateshead Maternity Hospital where she is to open a new extension. The final part of the film shows views of Bamburgh Castle. The film opens with a street scene and a woman on steps cleaning and polishing a shop window. In the sunshine, crowds line a street in expectation as two police outriders head a procession of limousines. The crowd wave enthusiastically as Queen Elizabeth is drive past. The procession of vehicles go further up the street. The crowds disperse and vehicles and pedestrians take back the street. A view of a shop front changes to that of Bamburgh Castle. General views follow looking out to sea from the castle ramparts. The film ends with views of the castle itself.
