The film includes footage of London and the fierce, but fun, competition of the sports day. The journey begins at Chapeltown South Station where a long shot captures the steam train as it pulls out. In London there are shots of Big Ben and Parliament, Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London and London Bridge. The travellers see other tourist sights along the River Thames including the buildings on the river banks. The next scene features the School Sports Day 1955. It opens with good views of a sprinting race followed by a close up of a boys tug-of-war match. There is some well shot footage showing the girls who take part in the dressing up race. The film ends with close ups of the winning competitors winning medals.
