Made by one of the teachers, this is a film which documents the High Green Secondary School (based near Sheffield) visit to London.

The film opens with good views of London Airport showing the roof garden filled with the children and other visitors.

A caption reads 'Miss Pat Smyth returns from the Olympics (Melbourne)', the camera takes a long shot of a plane on the tarmac with the travellers coming down the steps before there are panning shots of the airport, planes and control tower.

Title - Richmond

Title - Down river to Hampton court.

The action cuts to Richmond where the children board the boat that takes them down the River Thames to Hampton Court. There are many shots taking in the river views such as Eel Pie Island and Teddington Lock.

Title - Hampton court.

There are views of the grounds and architecture features at Hampton Court Palace in both colour and black and white before the film ends with the crowd at St Pancras returning home.

Title - At St. Pancras station we enter the train for the return journey.
