Description

Made by members of the Harrogate Cine Club, this film shows a greenhouse, flowers planted in Harrogate town centre, and a few streets in the town.

The Mayor and Mayoress of Harrogate walk around admiring the plants in a greenhouse. There are hundreds of varieties.

Intertitle: "Harrogate. Ville de Fleurs".

The camera looks at flowers planted in Harrogate town centre. People sit amongst them on benches. There is then footage of the Alex Hotel, which has a special sign up for French week: "Chez Alex".

A woman and girl sit on chairs next to a stall which has a "Schweppes" sign on it. The girl arranges bottles on the bar. This is followed by more footage of flowers.

The camera looks at a street, with cars and people passing by. A sign sticks out from one of the buildings that says, "Gaumont". There is a shot of the cinema. A film called "Count Your Blessings" starring Deborah Kerr and Rossano Brazzi is being shown. This is followed by more street scenes.
