This film captures family holidays in both Yorkshire and Scotland and includes many clear shots of recognisable at these popular destinations.

Title - Filey and Scarborough Aug 1969

The film begins at the fairground rides and includes footage of the merry-go-round. Next, the family are at a busy boating lake at Primrose Valley Holiday Park near Filey. The family take out one of the boats and row around the lake. The family move onto play in the rock pools on the rocky coastline. Waves crash against the coastline. Later, the children enjoy a sunny day playing in the sea and sand at Scarborough.

Children play on various pieces of equipment at the playground. Later, the filmmaker's children ride on small bumper cars.

The next portion of the film documents a trip to Scotland starting with a sign which says, "Welcome to Largs." The family tours around the town making their way down to the beach to go on a boat cruise. Next they go to different places in Scotland, walking in the countryside and travelling by train.

Title - Banavie & Blen Nevis

Here, the family has set up camp. The surrounding scenic countryside can be seen. The family also tour castle ruins and have a day out on the beach.
