Film ID: YFA 2142 CRICKET 1959 Visitor TabsDescription This film is part of a collection from the Ward family from Malton. The film begins with shots of Harrogate cricket ground, where the Yorkshire team used to play. The camera captures the full team in mid-shot as they leave the clubhouse and come out on to the field. There are shots of the cricket ground and the stadium which is filled which spectators. The opposing team, (Glamorgan?) comes onto the field. The stadium is so full that the crowd spills onto the grounds. Most of the film is made up of shots of the individual members coming onto the pitch, and there are some long shots of heads in the crowd watching the match. Towards the end of the film are a few scenes which feature action from the game, which is possibly a Championship game.
