The film begins showing Covent Garden and the nearby Royal Opera House. Visitors watch street entertainers doing various acts, such as juggling. People wander around the shops and market stalls, with balloon sellers, and sit in the open-air cafes. It is a hot day with many wearing shorts. The film shows the shops, especially Nevile & Nevile, makers of home-made toys, and the Punch and Judy pub. The film focuses on observing the people walking around and sitting in coffee houses, and the film finishes with a street act performing a comedy sketch of workmen.
